Frequently Asked Questions
Can I split just one range of pages from a large PDF? +
Yes — use the 'Page range' mode to extract any contiguous range, like pages 5–12 from a 50-page document. You get a new PDF containing only those pages. For non-contiguous pages (like pages 2, 7, and 15), use 'Remove pages' mode to remove everything you don't need.
Does splitting a PDF change the quality? +
No. We extract the original page streams from the PDF without re-rendering or re-compressing anything. Text, images, fonts, and formatting are identical to the original. The only change is which pages are included.
Is there a page limit for splitting? +
No hard limit — but very large PDFs (100+ pages or heavy image content) may be slow depending on your device's available memory. Most typical PDFs (reports, contracts, manuals under 50MB) split in seconds.
Why would I split a PDF? +
Common reasons: extracting a specific chapter from a large report, sending only the relevant pages of a contract, separating scanned documents that were combined by mistake, or breaking up a large PDF to reduce individual file sizes for email or upload limits.
